Zetans are a species of Grey-like beings who have had many repeated run ins with the inhabitants of the irradiated wasteland which was once known as Earth.
Biology[]
The Zetans are a humanoid species with a hunched stature and tridactyl digits, despite these major features, they seem to have differing varieties coming in taller version with notable head and nasal ridges and a smaller type who seem to be more in line with the stereotypical LGM look, we can only assume that these two varieties fulfil different roles in their society, with the taller Zetans remaining on the ships while the smaller Zetans act as a ground invasion force.
As for their other biological matters, they have been seen consuming strange kinds of large vermiforms and cephalopod-esque creatures, so we can at least assume they are either omnivores or pure carnivores.
Culture and Society[]
Not much is known of Zetan Culture, bar from some snippets of their language and their highly brutalist interior design philosophy, as for their practices, they seem to be quite interested in Humans and the various mutated fauna and flora of the Post-Atomic Earth, though when they are discovered by a Human whom they aren't abducting, they tend to have a kind of "shoot to kill" order in place, even when they are gravely wounded.
Their technology is highly advanced, including such feats as artificial gravity, anti-gravity, faster than light propulsion, teleportation, holographic imaging and cryogenic stasis, as for weaponry, their prefered weapons are a kind of directed energy weapon powered by an unknown form of ammunition (though these weapons can be modified to function off standard Human Fusion Cells) capable of disintegrating another lifeform in a few shots, though they also possess shock weaponry, ship-to-ship death rays and even Power Armour not to dissimilar to that possessed by Humans.
Despite being so advanced, they seem to enjoy keeping a collection of various pre-war relics of Human civilization, such as atomic automobiles and strangest of all, a pre-war young girl's robotic toy called Giddy-Up Buttercup, which was not only used to calm down younger abductees, but also seemed to have been weaponised, somehow.
History[]
The Zetans have been spacefaring for an unknown length of time, though it has at least been before the 16th Century where their earliest Human abductee was recorded, a Samurai from Japan during the Edo Period.
By the 20th Century, the major pre-war government of the United States of America was well aware of the Zetan presence, apparently using their technology in various highly-classified projects including plasma weaponry, Bio-Gel and an Artificial Intelligence known as Skynet, not to mention the soft disclosure happening amongst the public with highly accurate depictions of them appearing in comic books, television programs, video games and even as animatronics at the Nuka-World theme park.
The first signs of hostility came in 1960s, when the American spacepod Clarabella 7 and it's occupant, Major Hartigan, was taken by a Zetan mothership, Hartigan was then interviewed, probed and subsequently put into cryostasis, a process he did not survive, following this incident, the United States Space Administration (USSA for short) launched the Valiant 1 space station to observe the Zetan activity, though after the bombs fell on October 23rd, 2077, the station was left to fall back to Earth.
In 2103, the Zetans made there presence known to the residents of Appalachia, it is also known that around this time the Zetans were in a conflict with an surviving organisation from America, a shadow government comprised of politicians, businessmen, military personnel and various others which was known as The Enclave.
In 2277 a small Zetan scout ship crash landed in the wasteland and shortly there after a human was abducted at the crash site, said human then proceeded to gather together the other human abductees and destroyed several Zetan ships.
In 2281 A group of Zetans were sighted near the New Vegas strip but where soon disposed of by an individual known only as "The Courier".
In 2287 another Zetan scout ship crashed in the wasteland and an injured Zetan was present in a cave near the crash site, this being however was also killed by a survivor.

Notes[]
- In Fallout 2, there is a religion known as Hubology (a not so subtle poke at Scientology) who were attempting to reactivate a space shuttle, they reappeared in Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC inhabiting a small fuelling station outside of the Nuka-World themepark, they say that the founder of their religion was in contact with a being called the Star Father who came from the planet Quetzel in the Zyphus constellation of the Milky Way, though they may seem crazy because of their beliefs, they do give the Sole Survivour a blaster weapon which does appear to be Zetan tech, so maybe give them the time of day after all!
- The Zetans are based on many apparent aliens, the Tall Zetans are based off the Greys, were as the Short Zetans are just your basic Little Green Men.
- It is still unknown if the Zetans are connected with the dead Alien bodies found in the original Fallout game which had the tag 'Property of Area 51'.
- It's known that at one point in the Fallout timeline an Alien civilization dwelled in various places around the Earth, these beings are known to have worshipped an entity known as Ug-Qualtoth, though it is safe to assume these precursors were not Zetan as the appearance of the technology is extremely different.
- They are likely based off the Martians from Mars attack
- They have similarities to Fish and other cold-blooded earth animals
