The Yorhis were a sapient, technologically-advanced Martian race, biologically related to the modern Aihais, who replaced them as the dominant Martian species about forty thousand years ago. At their prime, the Yorhis were more advanced than their successors, but ended up being wiped out by the Leeches of Yoh-Vombis.
Biology[]
Like the Aihais, the Yorhis were a tall, angular race, and had bellows-like chests, sinuous four-jointed fingers and conical craniums. At over 7 ft (~ 2.1 meters), they were even taller than their modern counterparts. The stairways in the ruins of Yoh-Vombis suggest that their limbs were even longer than those of the Aihais; but their ears and nostrils were smaller in comparison. However, the most notable difference between the two races is that the Yorhis possessed a supplementary third arm protruding from their chests, which is only present in some Aihai individuals in vestigial form.
