The Xanthippians are an alien species from the planet Xanthippus.
Biology[]
The Xanthippians are a humanoid race with grey reptilian skin, pointed ears and four horns emerging from their crest. Xanthippians are unable to process human foods, instead subsisting on organic silicate crystals found on their world. Xanthippians were compatible in breeding with humans, creating hybrids.
Culture[]
The Xanthippians are a spacefaring culture that fifteen years ago joined the Star Union. At some point in their history, the Xanthippians were in engaged in a war of succession until a treaty known as the Peace of Bel Arie was made to end the bloodshed.
In Xanthippians culture their first duty is to their kwen or herd. Thus they cannot fathom humans joining military organizations for the sake of honor and glory. Some of their kind however feel that they were pressured into joining the Star Union. and as a result human culture has been subsuming the own with calendars, police and military organizations.
