The Voor are a technological advanced humanoid race hailing from the ice cold planet of Hiverion.

A Voor
Reptilian in appearance, the Voor are in fact mammalians. They evolved to walk upright during Hiverion's extended summers and eventually became sapient right before one of their harshest ice ages froze over the planet. The Voor are humanoid in structure with a pronounced and rigid chin. Their skulls have been elongated due to their large and intelligent brains. Male Voor have long tube-like structures leading away from the side of the skull. These structures currently have no identified usage and are more likely a vestigial structure leftover from a bygone age. As of today, most Voor have augmented themselves with cybernetics in order to adapt more easily to any hostile environment they come across.

The Voor evolved and thrived on Hiverion for generations during the time the planet was going through a usually prolonged period of summer. As this "summer" was drawing to a close, game and other necessities for the primitive Voor began to disappear. Around this time it is believed the Voor became sapient while struggling what to do with their dwindling resources. Despite fighting among themselves, the Voor clans and nations all came together under one government to distribute resources equallyand to find a way to survive the coming ice age. Their government was headed by several science officers, who reluctantly destroyed individual Voor freedoms, pushing the government into a draconic/technocratic dictatorship. The Voor today believe this to have been necessary, since when the leadership passed a new law requiring an infusion with cybernetics to survive, dissent would have spelled the extinction of their species. With this enhancement done, the Voor civilization was able to survive the ice age long enough to rebuild and eventually reach the stars.
