When Crypto uses a plant-based weapon, Pox casually mentions that Venus is inhabited by plant people. He refers to them as "carnivorous fly-traps from Venus" and also mentions "acid pods on Centauri" to support his claim that "plants are EVIL, man!"
Later in the game, Pox states that Venus was once a jungle world before the Martian war. This implies the Venusians may have been involved in the conflict or even possibly wiped out as a result.
