The Venusians of the 1953 film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars are an all female society that banished its men long ago. They have the ability to control deadly flying disk weapons and to quickly travel to other planets. This is shown in the end scene of the film where the Venusian Queen Allura sends a rocket to drop a cake on Orville's (Costello's) head after the Earthmen, like the men of Venus, are banished and Allura via a visual observance device sees the group of men being welcomed back to Earth as heroes.

- Despite the film's title Abbott and Costello don't actually go to Mars. Instead, they mistake a mardi gras in New Orleans for Mars and then via rocket travel find themselves on Venus.
