Uranians, a.k.a. Seal Men, are the native sapient inhabitants of the planet Uranus.

Biology[]

Uranians are small, green-furred, ferret-like creatures with short powerful legs and delicate many-fingered hands. Both hands and feet are webbed, as the Uranians are naturally amphibious, and breathe through a set of gills. Their diet consists of seaweed, small fish and jellyfish.

Uranians are oviparous and lay their eggs in clumps of floating seaweed. They are born as aquatic tadpole-like larvae.

Culture and society[]

Uranians are a technologically advanced species which spend most of their lives in the warm seas deep under the icy surface. On land, they live in metallic cities, air-sealed to keep out the poisonous atmosphere, and wear metallic exo-suits when venturing outside. In the interior of their cities they grow air-purifying plants.
