The Tritovores are a spacefaring species of sapient insectoids known to inhabit (or at least travel through) the Scorpion Nebula, located in the other side of the Universe from Earth.

Two Tritovores
Tritovores appear somewhat like green-skinned humanoids with insectoid heads resembling those of flies, with complex mouthparts and two large compound eyes. Tritovores communicated by clicking these mouth parts to produce sound. Their hands each sports three large fingers. They are coprophagous beings, feeding on the excrements of other species, and often establish commerce with largely populated planets which are more than willing to sell their wastes to someone.
Technology[]
Their technology notably includes anti-gravity devices, telepathic translators which only work one way (that is: Tritovores can understand alien speech but not vice-versa), and a type of metal called photavine steel, which when heated on the outside actually cools down the temperature in the inside.
