Tritonian yetis are a subspecies of yeti native to the moon "Triton".
Biology[]
They are mostly the same as normal yetis, save for a large horn on their foreheads. They have two different neurotoxin glands, the adrenal neurotoxin, from which they likely derive their strength, and the penial neurotoxin, which neutralizes the former, so they don't drive themselves mad. The adrenal gland is infamous for causing a disease known as "Yetiism", which might be misdiagnosed as the incurable fatal disease known as "Hyper-malaria" (which is caused by contact with Tritonian methane swamps), as its symptoms are all but exactly the same: fevers, spasms, insanity, coma, however rather than dying, the infected individual turns into a yeti. Both diseases can both either take immediate effect or lie dominant for years. However, yetiism is thankfully curable, by feeding the inflicted person the penial gland of the same yeti that infected them, then the person temporarily mutates into a "Double yeti" before reverting back to normal.
Behavior[]
They are known to be quite aggressive and possibly territorial.
Notes[]
- This species look remarkably similar to Star Trek's Mugato. The main difference being the horn isn't as large, and they have four fingers on each hand, instead of three.
