The treehugger is a creature native to the Shadow-World.
Biology[]
A creature that resembles an over-sized mantises, with four arms, four legs and big lifeless eyes. The creature gets its name from its behavior. Treehuggers are known to hug trees, but their interaction with the latter is anything but harmonious. Treehuggers breath out something toxic that makes the tree they are on lose all its leaves. Withing two years the tree will have died to its roots. The creatures prefer to nest high in trees, where the infection of the trees starts leading to the highest branches to fall first. To defend themselves, treehuggers spit a sticky goo at their attackers.
The only way to dispatch a treehugger was by decapitating it, like a Hell-hound. And like all Shadow creatures, could not be perceived by normal humans, without aided help from a Shadow App.
