Tra'cors are amphibious relatives of the rancor. Although smaller and almost completely waterbound, tra'cor share most of the rancor's traits, including their hostile temperament. However, unlike their cousins, they will only rarely live in groups of more than two or three, and most are usually solitary.
Biology[]
While tra'cors can survive on underwater grasses and mosses of Socoro, they will consume meat whenever the opportunity presents itself by waiting within the planet's water cellars to drag Mutriok and other thirsty animals into the water using its long, powerful arms.
Tra'cors resemble their land-bound rancor cousins, but have webbed hands and a streamlined body shape that allows them ease of movement in the water. They can stay submerged for up to an hour in wait of prey.
Tra'cors are capable of moving on land as well, but remaining out of water for periods longer than 24 hours would result in severe dehydration. However they are rarely caught on land long enough to die from this, as they are equipped with special glands on their necks that allow them to locate nearby water sources. Because of this ability, they often will migrate across land from one water pool to another when locating a new grotto is a necessary.
