Time Gods were a pacifist race of time-travelling godly beings who resided on the hidden world of Chronux.

Biology[]

Time Gods were externally very similar to Humans, although they had pink skin, yellow irises, no hair, and pointed ears. Internally, they had red blood, which could be used to power their time traveling pool.

Culture and society[]

Time Gods were pacifists, serving as caretakers of time, appearing to be in the way of ensuring the timestream remains on the right path, especially concerning the past, which also involved "pruning" the amount of possible future timelines. They were isolationists, their world hidden from others, and they had no defenses. Time God architecture consisted of smooth, white, temple-like buildings with gold ornate elements, reflected by their clothing, which mostly consist of plain white tunics and pants with some gold linings. Some Time Gods wore robes in the same white color, with gold vambraces, gold-lined shoulder pads, and cylindrical hats with gold lining around its base and running vertically across its midsection. Time God blood was said to be sacred, and only a few drops were used for each instance of their time travel. Time Gods appear to have had a low population, and only had one known city on Chronux.

Technology[]

Time God technology bore the same aesthetic as their architecture, and utilized floating crystals as user interfaces. The most notable Time God technology was the Pool of Forevers, a pool of liquid that could be used to travel through time. The Pool would be activated by a few drops of Time God blood, set to a target date by an operator, and the travelers would submerge themselves into the pool to travel. With enough Time God blood, the Pool can transport passengers to the beginning of the universe.

History[]

Time Gods inhabited Chronux, also known as the Palace of Infinity, where they used their Pool of Forevers to travel through time, keeping the timelines secure, with information on Chronux recorded in the Halls of All-Knowing. However, in the modern day, an alien named Gorr the God-Butcher, in his mad quest to eliminate deities across creation, sought the hidden world of Chronux to use its Pool of Forevers to travel back to the start of the universe to acquire the heart of an Elder God. After acquiring its location from the Halls of All-Knowing in Omnipotence City, Gorr traveled to Chronux. There, he and his Black Berserkers slaughtered the Time Gods, using their blood to fuel the Pool of Forevers, leaving only one Time God alive to calibrate the Pool, promising that the Time God would not have to see the end of Gorr's work. The last Time God, appearing surprisingly calm in his situation, berated Gorr for his monstrous actions, and warned him that there is no guarantee of survival going that far back in time. Gorr left the Time God as a hostage of the Black Berserkers as he traveled 14 billion years into the past. Gorr soon returned with the heart of a baby Elder God, much to the surprise of the Time God. After Gorr confirmed that the heart did indeed come from the first of the Elder Gods, an Asgardian hero named Thor arrived, blasting away the Berserkers restraining the Time God while attacking Gorr. After Gorr managed to restrain Thor, the Time God asked if he would be let go, but Gorr reminded him that his only promise was that the Time God would not see the end, before killing the Time God. The Time God's blood was poured into the Pool of Forevers, and Gorr used it to escape to another timeline in order to construct a weapon capable of killing all gods across space and time, closely followed by Thor.
