Time Eaters are a sapient species which live around the edge of a black star's event horizon and feed on time itself. Time gradient fluctuations provide them with nourishment in their natural habitat. However, they seek to escape their black star and roam through the universe feeding on all time, which would be disastrous as it would result in everything happening at once, leaving the universe in chaos.
