The three-eyed Venusians are an unnamed sapient species of three-eyed humanoids who colonized Earth, intercepting and possibly exterminating a Martian colonization fleet.
Biology[]
The three-eyed Venusians appear almost completely indiscernible from Humans, except for the presence of a third, inexpressive eye in the center of their foreheads, which appears to have a lighter pupil than their other two eyes. Any other differences in internal physiology are unknown, and despite evolving in the Venusian environment, they are perfectly capable of surviving on Earth.
Culture and society[]
The three-eyed Venusians are imperialists who sought to colonize Earth, like the three-armed Martians. The Venusians, like Martians, sent at least one infiltrator to Earth to assess the value of the planet for colonization, who disguised themselves from Humans by utilizing hats to cover up their third eye. The only known member of these infiltrators was known to be amiable and talented at his position of a cook, showing that the Venusians likely studied Earth for long enough to know of such things, and unlike the Martians, they knew of water and its various properties. They held a hostile relationship with Mars, at least by the time of their colonization attempts. It is unknown if they wished to conquer Earth with a frontal invasion force, or by implanting enough infiltrators to initiate a takeover.
Technology[]
The three-eyed Venusians possessed a colonization fleet equipped with enough weapons to overpower the Martian colonization fleet, and could cross the distance between Venus and Earth.
History[]
At an unknown point in the past, at least one Venusian infiltrator was sent to Earth, taking on the name of Haley, and posing as the cook of the Hi-Way Café, a diner by a rural road. During a snowstorm, two state troopers investigating a crashed spaceship believed that an alien from the site had made his way into a local diner. At the same time, a bus with six passengers had arrived at the diner, and the alien, disguised as a businessman named Ross, had infiltrated their group as they entered. The troopers realize that there are seven passengers within the restaurant despite only six being on the bus, and Haley confirms that no one else had entered the diner other than the bus passengers and troopers. The troopers were unable to find the alien, terrorized by malfunctioning machinery manipulated by Ross, and get a fake call that Ross set up, supposedly from the county engineer reporting the bridge down the road as safe to cross. Haley remained at the diner while the troopers and bus passengers left to go across the bridge. The troopers and most of the customers perish when the bridge collapses, save Ross, who returns to the diner and begins talking to Haley. After Haley questions how Ross escaped the crash, Ross reveals himself as the alien, specifically a three-armed Martian, and boasts that his species will have a colony on Earth soon, still assuming Haley was a Human. Haley chuckles, and tells Ross he's too late- the Venusians already have a colony on Earth and have intercepted the Martian fleet, also implying that he was going to kill Ross. Haley then took off his hat, revealing his third eye, and began laughing at Ross.

Notes[]
- The three-eyed Venusians are one of three examples of Venusians shown in The Twilight Zone, with the others being a stalk-eyed species and a tailed species. The three-eyed Venusians are the only ones known to have a hostile relation with Martians, in stark contrast to the rather friendly relationship between the stalk-eyed Venusians and the two-headed Martians.
