Alien Species

Thorians are a species native to the planet Thoria.

Biology[]

Thorians are a humanoid species, but with skin a pale shade of purple with darker patches on their neck. Like humans they had varying shades of color for their hair and eyes. Females had more lavender skin while males were sickly purple. Females are said to go into heat and is more intense that human woman.

Culture[]

Thorians inhabit the planet Thoria, which is a sparely populated world mostly dominated by forest and grasslands, shading to more tropical foliage southward. Thoria has a couple big cities, but most Thorians do not like to live in crowded conditions. To develop their technology, most of their industry has been moved off planet as they prefer to pollute some other world rather than tarnish their own.

The Thorians also hire Sailions to do much of the work that machines and computers can’t do and that they don’t want to do themselves. They would never consider other intelligent races that developed star flight as property. They’re also the real power in the part of the galaxy under the Continuum.

Beside possessing space flight, Thorians are also able to revive the dead, so long as the body is intact. Thorians eat only two meals a day.  Or at least, they feed their property only twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening – usually before the evening’s entertainment. Oddly for all their superior technology Thorian do tend to copy much of human culture such as the concept of dungeons and fashion like stilettoes. Thorians had never invented snow skiing.  Something to do with very few snow-clad mountains on their world.

Military[]

Thorian civil order is maintained by the Thorian Defense Force. And while officially they are military arm of the government, its suggested that they really have all the power.

The military has units called Death Squad who are the special units that retrieve property that wakes up.

Slavery[]

Thorians are known for their sadistic natures, a reputation that they are proud of. Humans as it turns out were all raised on their planet for the sole purpose of becoming property to be sold in the interstellar market. Earth is nothing but a breeding ground where all it inhabitants are just the products of selective breeding and DNA modification. Humans who are taken by their alien abudctors are selected because they were made to be of healthy stock and pleasing appearance.

Those abducted become the property of whoever purchases them, having no rights, no freedom, no worth beyond what they might bring at an auction.

Human slaves have their memories selectively wiped, including their personal memories were deleted.  Everything of their past life has been cleansed so that their new owners may mold them into the type of property they wish. If a slave remembers more of their spat life, it serves as ground for termination, in which the slave will be burned alive. Failure to notify slaves who awake, result in immediate termination by the TDF.

Many of will be trained to serve as pleasure slaves, adornments to their owner’s domiciles or just objects used to simply satisfy their owner’s need to inflict pain like living punching bags. The latter use of slaves is apparently quite a trend among the species. The life of property was of little value to these Thorians. If one was killed due to the abuse a Thorian would simply buy another as a replacement.

The Thorians' sadistic nature extends to their own family members and some are willing to use the same exact punishments and torture to enact discipline. All Thorian males are sadistic to the core, but female Thorians surpassed their males in cruelty to property.
