The Sphere is an extraterrestrial artificial intelligence sent to serve as a liaison between Earth and the Resistance.

Appearance and Communication Edit

The Sphere is a giant white sphere, with a bluish-white line in the middle. The line will turn red and be closed when it is deactivated.

She can speak most languages, including the language of the Harvesters. She can also use holograms to help herself communicate. She, however, has a "signature" that can be detected to show where it is, which Earth's Harvester Queen used to find her.

History Edit

Harvester-Resistance Alien War Edit

The Sphere belonged to a species that invented the Spheres thousands of years ago, to help make their world better. At some point, their planet was conquered by a hostile alien race, which harvested their homeworld's core. The Sphere was the sole survivor of her kind and carried the combined intelligence of her inventors and their entire species. She then traveled across space and found other alien races that were defeated by the Harvesters. She evacuated them in her gigantic ship, and helped them find refuge on a planet and establish a major Resistance against the Harvesters.

War of 2016 Edit

In 2016, the Sphere intercepted a distress message and learned of the Harvesters' first defeat at the hands of humanity on Earth. Knowing that the Harvesters would come back to exterminate humanity, the Sphere arrived in the Sol system in hopes of evacuating humanity and allowing them to join in the Resistance. Unfortunately, upon her arrival at Earth's Moon, the humans mistook her ship as another hostile force, and shot it down. The Sphere survived the destruction and was found by ESD Director David Levinson.

After the Harvesters led by Earth's Harvester Queen arrive in the Harvester Mothership, the Sphere was taken to Area 51, where she explains her origins and original mission. Knowing that Earth's Harvester Queen has become aware of her presence, the Sphere requests the ESD to destroy her in order to prevent the Harvesters from acquiring the coordinates of the refugee planet. However, the Humans refused, and instead planned an attempt to kill the Harvester Queen by laying out a trap. The Sphere was secured in an isolation chamber as the ESD implement their plan. Although the trap succeeded, the Queen survived and assaulted Area 51 for the Sphere. Earth's Harvester Queen almost acquired the Sphere until the Queen herself was finally weakened and killed by ESD pilots using hijacked Fighters. The loss of the evil Queen caused her minions to leave peacefully from Earth on the Harvester Mothership.

The Sphere was impressed by humanity's tenacity and victory. In gratitude, the Sphere offered humanity new technology and invited them to assume leadership of the Resistance in preparation for a potential assault on the Harvesters' homeworld, to which they agreed.
