Technobots are a subspecies of Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.

Biology

While also being a subgroup of Autobots, Technobots consider themselves a species unto themselves.

Anatomy

Technobots have similar biology to other Cybertronians, except that they transform into Cybertronian vehicles.

Powers and abilities

Technobots share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.

Select Technobots can combine to form a combiner known as Computron. Alternatively, Technobots can combine with other Cybertronians to form combiners such as Compurian, Volcaticon, Betatron, Modulus, and the Autobot Super Scramble.

Culture and society

Technobots are hot-headed scientists with a decidedly average IQ. They are also generally considered to be the mortal enemies of the Terrorcons.

Notes

• In the film Transformers One, several of the Iacon 5000 racers are modeled after Generation 1 Technobots Scattershot, Strafe, Lightspeed, and Afterburner. Strafe is the only one of the bunch explicitly mentioned by name, although Spanish subtitles spell his name as "Streak".
