History
The Tandu were one of three races that evolved on the planet Tor alongside the Haduns and Eaür. Tandu civilization emerged as a agarian society, a necessity in the the tundra-like environment. Farming was a difficult task, and communities banded together for the long hours of arduous work during the planting and harvesting of their brief season. The Tandu were the first race on their world to develop writing and education, as well as physical sciences and construction. During the long winters they dedicated themselves to study, thought, prayer, and philosophical debate.
Culture
The Tandu were a culture of farmers and builders who practiced high-intensity cultivation of wet crops. They lived on the equatorial strip of Tor, largely sedentary with a life that revolved around their villages and farms.
