It is stated that the Thing rejects inorganic materials for assimilation, but porcelin is fine. How is this known?

- It's been a while since I saw the new movie, but don't they make mention of it during the tooth-checking scene? Like a mention of porcelain veneers and how either someone who has them transforms into a Thing or that they could still be a Thing or something..? Hopefully someone who has the money to buy it or has seen it recently can confirm that. -- Somarinoa 09:35, February 8, 2012 (UTC)
Holy heavens, that first History paragraph about the prequel needs to be split up. It's 55 sentences long - paragraphs are typically 3-5 or more sentences, although 7-9 sentences is suggested. As usual lately, I am at work right now and can't risk spending a few hours plowing through the article at this particular time (as I will likely be unable to stop my grammar and typo/misspelling correction as well). Feel free to separate it yourself.

Some idiot added a text about a rambling of anal sex or something I removed it.
- Thanks for the heads-up and the initiative. I purposefully avoid the more well-known articles so I know I probably wouldn't have seen it for a while, myself. — Somarinoa (talk) 17:32, September 1, 2012 (UTC)
Alien Trying to Escape Human-Monsters Edit
Not really worth adding to the article, but I always figured that the alien was trying to escape the planet. In my opinion it was trying to kill all of the humans in order to prevent us from following it off world and destroying all life that it had encountered. Anon 06:22, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
