abilities[]
many of the abilities listed here do not seem to be specific to namekian individuals, but rather learned abilities . . . ralok (talk) 19:08, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Awakening Potential, Body Flexibility (Mystic Attack), Enhanced Regeneration, Fusion (really ought to rename to "assimilation"), Kaifuku/Healing, Sensitive Hearing and Sensitivity to Evil I can confirm are all racial traits of Namekians exclusive to their species and possessed naturally by most members (Awakening Potential is only able to be used by Guru "queens/kings" and Kaifuku is used by the Dragon Clan subtype exclusively—keep in mind however that the subtypes are not roles one can enter into willingly but are determined from birth by the choice of the father, who affects the genetics of each offspring at will). I'd have to check on Fission (I only remember Piccolo doing this but I only just started watching the series again; I stopped at the turn of the century), Sorcery (which sounds like learned capabilities to me), Soul Control (can't recall what that would be for the life of me off-hand...I think it was something Piccolo Daimo used and might be a racial trait of Evil Namekians or a learned technique), and Telekinesis/Telepathy (Offspring telekinesis would be a racial trait if utilized by both Kami and Guru; not sure about Telekinesis and who utilized it though). — Somarinoa (talk) 11:07, July 25, 2012 (UTC)
- Kami splitting into two forms is highly implied to be a spiritual thing happening . . . buuuuuuut, piccolo has demonstrated the ability to temporarily split into several beings . . . . but this ability is also demonstrated by Tien (although the process is visually distinct) . . . it is called multi-form on the dragonball wiki ralok (talk) 15:56, July 25, 2012 (UTC)
- It's known as cloning officially (Piccolo's ability for 1 clone). I can't find any info on whether Piccolo's clone technique or Tri-Form technique divide the power level like Tien's Multi-Form, and the only series I own currently is GT. There's also the Great Namek ability, that I don't think is listed here, that is believed to be a racial trait (as three different Namekians use it—five if Guru and Moori's huge sizes weren't technically because of age, as Piccolo Daimo (Daimoh?)/King Piccolo was also seen as large and sitting on a chair in a similar albeit earlier manner and design).

but piccolo can split into more cant he? and yeah nameks get huge when they get old . . . their skin also seems to darken . . . their arms are flexible tooo (I am pretty sure this is a racial trait) ralok (talk) 00:05, July 26, 2012 (UTC)
- From what I recall Piccolo split using Multi-Form at least once, though it's been 12 years, and I haven't gotten to the point where he appears again in GT in my current daily 7-episode marathon I've been doing of that series lately to see if he does it in GT. And yeah, all old Namekians have been shown to have grown large, with the exception of Kami for some reason or another. I'd say it's because maybe Kami wasn't quite old enough yet (having been in his 300s I think where the species lives to be 500 or so), but King Piccolo was the exact same age and was shown to have grown gigantic, so size could also be dependent upon how many offspring one produces, I suppose...) — Somarinoa (talk) 02:42, July 27, 2012 (UTC)
