The tailed Venusians are an alien species from Venus who have a tail.

Biology[]

Little is known about the biology of this species, only that they have a tail, and that they are capable of singing on multiple frequencies at once. It is likely that they cannot survive in an Earth-like environment, as they evolved in the Venusian environment.

History[]

A member of this species was once kept on display by a species of mouthless aliens, and was described as a talented musician due to their ability to sing on multiple frequencies simultaneously, its existence mentioned to a Human named Somerset Frisby. It is unknown what the mouthless aliens desired this specimen for, and the tailed Venusian presumably remained in captivity after Frisby escaped the ship of the mouthless aliens and forced them to flee from Earth.

Appearances[]

  • The Twilight Zone, s03e30, "Hocus-Pocus and Frisby" (1962) (Mentioned only)

Notes[]

  • They are one of three Venusian races featured in The Twilight Zone, with the other two being a three-eyed species and a stalk-eyed species. They are the only Venusian in the series to be completely unseen in their episode, and the only one with no known relation to Martians.
