Sun Spots are a giant green and radioactive creatures that dwell on the surface of the Sun.

Biology[]

Sunspots were large gelatinous animals that were covered with green scales which were capable of growing quite massive. Its structure was easily manipulated by the creature allowing it to fashion limbs to move about its environment. Typically, when moving, they formed a slug or serpentine body to easily slide through its surroundings. It possessed four red eyes which it used to see its surroundings. This allowed it to easily bore underground and navigate. The creatures were capable of spitting a green liquid that was corrosive and burnt through objects.

History[]

Centuries in the past, the Vampires, captured one named Spot and sought to use it as a power source; only for it to break free and escape into the Earth's core. The creature received marginal sustenance from the Earth's core, but with the recent development of nuclear plants, the creature known as "Spot" made sporadic trips to the surface becoming the cause of disasters like Chernobyl and Three Mile Island accidents.

The Vampires have been attempting to recapture it and in one instance used a nuclear warhead to lure Spot to them. Nick Logan seeking his step-father, Walter, was also lured by the Vampires in an effort to kill two birds with one stone. After launching a specialized harpoon the Vampires were able to control it and commanded to attack the Alliance agent and Walter.

In the fallout, Walter went missing and Nick went on a rampage after the beast who killed his only lead to finding his real father. However his partner Sh'lain understood Spot's docile nature and was only trying to survive. She managed to protect the Sun Spot from being destroyed after it was learned Walter was still alive and captured by the Vampires still. Rinaker grudgingly allowed Spot to stay at the bunker of Alliance HQ, feeding off the fusion reactor. When Rinaker’s duplicity of corrupting the Alliance and turning human and alien races unravel, Rianker set the reactor to overload. To buy the Alliance and alien prisoners time to escape, Spot sacrificed himself to stabilize the reactor, absorbing the energy until he exploded.
