Striders are a species of immense, vaguely simian aliens native to the extradimensional realm of Corbenic. They prey on the human souls that have passed on to this dimension.
Anatomy & Physiology Edit
Striders vaguely resemble gigantic humans, ranging in height from two to three kilometers (around 6,600-10,000 feet). They are covered head to toe in thick, matted black fur, and have huge white eyes that resemble searchlights. They do not appear to have any other distinguishing features, although they likely have mouths.
Most Striders have not been observed to eat. However, their ruler, the Witch-Queen of Bogal Mountain, consumes humans living in Corbenic. As all life in Corbenic is immortal and regenerates any damage, the victims survive this process, although it is protracted and painful. In later appearances, other Striders are also implied to feed off humans, eating them and then digesting them eternally.
Powers & Abilities Edit
Like all other life in Corbenic, Striders are immortal and regenerate from any injury, no matter how severe. They are also able to produce vocalizations with a number of seemingly magical effects. These can turn flesh to stone, teleport targets to unknown locations, and nullify Corbenic's healing factor.
