Soldiers (also known as Troopers, Ground Soldiers, and Protoforms) are a subspecies of Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Soldiers share a similar biology to other Cybertronians except they transform into Cybertronian ground vehicles such as cars and vans. They also come in different color combinations based on their affiliation:
- Soldiers affiliated with the Autobots are either colored red, green, blue, yellow, orange, teal, grey, and/or black.
- Soldiers affiliated with the Decepticons are either colored monotone, purple, dark green, and/or dark purple.
- Neutral Soldiers are either colored green, brown, and/or bark blue.
Warrior Ground Soldiers and Sergeant Ground Soldiers share a similar biology to Battlechargers except they former are colored blue whereas the latter are colored orange.
Heavy Weapon Ground Soldiers physically resemble Primax incarnations of the Decepticon Triple Changer Blitzwing except they are colored black and red and do not have any fighter jet kibble.
Powers and abilities[]
Soldiers share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
Soldiers are armed with neutron assault rifles.
While they are not as dangerous as other Cybertronians, Soldiers can cause a lot of problems to their enemies if they come in large numbers.
Weaknesses[]
Soldiers share many of the same weaknesses as other Cybertronians.
While Soldiers have no patterns to base an attack on, a smart warrior can easily neutralize them with powerful weapons.
Compared to other Cybertronians, Soldiers possess weak armor and low health.
Culture and society[]
Soldiers share a similar culture to other Cybertronians. They generally serve as the most common foot soldiers for the Autobot, Decepticon, Mercenary, and even neutral armies. Soldiers also exist as a body-type of Shadow Raiders.
During battle, most Soldiers prefer to hide on rooftops and high-up crevices. Warrior Ground Soldiers specialize in melee combat and prefer using swords, energy shields, or even their bare fists. Sergeant Ground Soldiers exclusively specialize in hand-to-hand combat. Heavy Weapon Ground Soldiers prefer fighting using hammers.

Notes[]
- The Shadow Raider Soldiers featured in Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark reuse the car-based Autobot Soldier design first seen in the Dark of the Moon game.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, Shadow Raiders with the Soldier design are identified as "Field Technicians".
- The Heavy Weapon Soldiers featured in Transformers: Devastation are the largest non-Combiners in the game, standing twice as tall as the likes of Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and even Blitzwing.
