Sleepwalkers are blind Humans altered into their own beings under the influence of The Shape deity, and one of the "antagonistic" forces in The Blackout Club.
Description[]
Sleepwalkers, in most of their anatomy, mirror the exact same look as Humans, having many features as they were before being taken by The Shape. Sleepwalkers often wear outfits associated with their cult: in this case, an apron with red suspenders, gloves, and pants with black boots. Many Sleepwalkers have a cloth covering their faces, with only high-ranking members called "Lucids" seemingly allowed to wander without this cover.
There're two main types of Sleepwalkers, known as Sleepers and Lucids:
Sleepers[]
Sleepers are the more common form of Sleepwalker, and perhaps the most Human-like of the two main Sleepwalkers. Sleepers don't physically hold any real difference in their kind to their normal Human selves, but their main clue to their Sleepwalker status is during the night.
Sleepers will wander around on set patrols and specific paths they would wander around in a set area. They're unable to pick up any beings as easily as normal Humans, as most if not all Sleepers are completely blind. They rely on touch and hearing to sense the world around them.
A Sleeper, hardly truly conscious of the world around them, is often observed talking in murmurs, mumble, and incohesive speech only just enough to be considered Human language of a sort.
Lucids[]
Lucids are a "awake" Sleepwalker, and are considered high-ranking members of their cult group. These were once normal Sleepers, but had been transitioned by their deity into their current state of being. These Sleepwalkers hold more connection to their otherworldly beings in their faces, which are extremely distorted with their lips, mouth, and eyes appear and disappearing at random intervals in a manor like churning soup. The edges of their faces also blurred in a heat haze-like state, making any distinct facial features of their human selves almost impossible to make out, if at all. They are able to see the world, however.
Lucids are more self-aware and coherent than the Sleepers are, showing coherent speech, emotions, and even objections to their cult at times. Because of this though, Lucids had to be forced into "SPEAK-AS-ONE"'s wishes throughout the night, and some Lucids do claim they are dreaming but are "unable to control themselves".
