Slammoids[1] are an alien species native to the deserts of Poiana Lüncas, and the natural predators of Talpaedans.

Biology

Anatomy

Slammoids are large worm-like aliens with a wide beak-like mouth that is filled with sharp teeth. They have a black and orange hide, a white underbelly, several grey spikes on their back, and four red insectoid legs near the front.

Powers and abilities

Like Talpaedans, Slammoids are able to tunnel through almost any surface at remarkable speeds.

Slammoids possess enhanced strength, enough to catch a Talpaedan in their beaks. Said beaks are filled with sharp teeth that can find the joints in a Talpaedan's armor where it can be pried open.[1]

Slammoids can spit acid from their mouths at a rapid pace to dissolve Talpaedans' dense, metal-like bodies so that they are easier to consume.[1]

Slammoids possess enhanced durability, being able to withstand a Petrosapien's shard projectiles.

Weaknesses

Slammoids are vulnerable to sharp objects that are inserted into their mouths, such as Petrosapien crystals.

Notes

  • Although this species has not been officially named in canon media, the name "Slammoid" was coined by Derrick J. Wyatt.
  • Slammoids are based off the Sandworms.[1] They also strongly resemble the Graboids, being massive monstrous-looking worms with armored "beaks" that can burrow underground.
  • Slammoids are the only non-sapient predatory species native to the Andromeda Galaxy to have their DNA included in the Nemetrix, as the DNA for the other Nemetrix aliens came from non-sapient species native to the Milky Way Galaxy.
