Sirkians are a sapient humanoid species from the planet Sirkus, located 400 light-years from Earth.
Biology[]
Sirkians are an all-female species of humanoids with white skin. They have featureless faces with a single eye and no mouth, and communicate exclusively by telepathy. They also have the ability to probe the minds of other species, such as Kalanorians.
History[]
Sirkians are a peaceful species. By the time their world was invaded by the Kalanorian conqueror Despero, the Sirkians had lived in peace for so long that they had no military skills whatsoever. However, the Sirkians managed to probe the mind of Despero and learned about how much he hated and feared the Earth superhero society known as the Justice League. With this knowledge, the Sirkians built a travel-beam device to abduct a member of the Justice League and transport him to their planet. Since they could only transport one individual, they picked up Superman and used disguised Sirkian actresses to play the roles of the other Justice Leaguers, complete with special effects gadgets to simulate their powers and voice boxes to allow them to speak.
Upon regaining consciousness after arriving on the planet, Superman was confused at first, but the Sirkian actresses posing as his friends managed to convince him that they had all been summoned to Sirkus to protect the planet from the invading villain. Unfortunately, in the ensuing battle, the fake superheroes proved to be no match for Despero, who managed to capture both Superman and the Sirkians. Luckily for them, Despero was later defeated by another Kryptonian, Superman's cousin Supergirl.
