The Silhur or Ice Snake is a creature native to the ice planet Siberia 56.
Biology[]
Silhur resemble worms, at least reaching 40 meters in length, with a triangle mouth filled with teeth. It is one of the six predatory species that the human pre-colonization mission have found on SIberia. Before the discovery of the Morbius, it was assumed that the Silhur was the largest predator on the planet, though it was corrected as the Silhur are prey to the Morbii.
Not much information is known about them, except that they mostly feed on some kind of plankton contained in the snow of Siberia. They filter the snow as the tunnel through it, feeding on it like whales, though on occasion, the Silhur can become carnivorous and attack larger prey. They also appear to be attracted by certain sound waves.
Silhur are a fairly rare species on Siberia and it is said that there are probably no more than 200 specimens on the entire surface.
