The Sigea are an parasitic species that inhabit the Milky Way Galaxy.
Biology[]
The Sigea in their natural form are a liquid black sludge that can infect other organisms to serve as their hosts. All it takes for the Sigea to take possession of a body is through bodily fluids or blood which infected hosts use to force others to ingest. Once they parasitically infect others the hosts are united under the control of the Sigea's hive mind making them an army of one. While possessing the host Sigea has total control, allowing the body to perform inhumane feats such as immunity to pain and endurance. Though it appears the Sigea cannot control a physical body without a viable brain.
History[]
In the year 2524, the Vander Mining Corp encountered the Sigea at an outpost planet known as 4217LYA in Heracles System. The outpost was attacked and members of the mining operation were attacked and infected. However a message was sent to the Alliance warning of the alien attack. The officials saw the attack on the outpost to be a prelude to war and to prepare for the worst marshaled their forces for an attack. Their fears came true when when a ship carrying survivors from the mining outpost arrived at on Earth at McMillian Airfield. The survivors were actually infected and attacked the military personnel as a preemptive strike but the military forces present were able to eliminate the aliens.
The Alliance now having justified cause to retaliate initiated Operation: Cosmic Sin. The operation was to bring a Q-bomb to Ellora where the alien armada was already engaged with the Alliance's forces. There special ops would try to gain a radioactive signature to determine the precise location of the Sigea's homeworld and use the Q-Bomb to blow up their planet. The special ops teams though faced some obstacles before they improvised using the bomb to destroy the gateway between Ellora and Earth with a Q-Bomb the team brought with them. The resulting chain reaction destroys the gateway as the Q-bomb crosses over into Sigea space and opens a black hole wiping out not only the Sigea attack fleet but their entire solar system. Despite an offer of surrender by a human sympathizer the survivors refused and continued to fight. A week later, the remaining Sigea unconditionally surrendered following the destruction of their fleet and their home star system.
Culture[]
According to the Sigea they consider themselves true apex predators. To them their culture is war and breeding is their prayer. A part of their litany seems holistic as they hold war to be sacrosanct, paying respects to a god of war and prosperity to their kingdom for a thousand years.
They appear to possess science in Quantum Jump Gate that far exceed humanity's building one 90,000 miles which current human science deemed impossible to transport their armadas across the galaxy.
