Shellhead's Species is an unnamed race of pill-bug-like aliens.

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

This species resembles 9-feet-tall[1] white pill-bugs with Centaur-like characteristics, namely two arms and four legs. They have white exoskeletons covering most of their bodies except for their arms and portions of their torsos. Their tails have spikes along the exoskeletal plating. Their heads are massive and Venus flytrap-like with jagged teeth, reddish/pink mouths, and yellow eyes with black pupils.

Powers and abilities[]

This species is very durable, as their exoskeletons make them invulnerable.[1]

This species is able to burrow through the earth at great speeds.[1]

Similar to both Arburian Pelarotas and ordinary Earth pill-bugs, this species can curl themselves into a ball.[1]

Notes[]

  • The Omnitrix's representative for this species is named Shellhead, who was confirmed to exist in the original series episode "Ken 10". He was originally unlocked off-screen at some point between Omniverse and the original series episode "Ben 10,000".[2]
    • Despite never appearing on-screen, it is confirmed that the original version of Ben 10,000 and Ken 10 both have Shellhead available in their Omnitrixes.
  • In 2020, Tom Perkins released concept art of Shellhead's hypothetical appearance in the original series.
    • In the series proper, Ken Tennyson states that Shellhead looks like a giant turtle. The reason Perkins depicted Shellhead as an insectoid was to avoid confusion with the Geochelone Aerios.[1]
  • Shellhead was never considered to be given a physical appearance and powers in Omniverse. Had he actually appeared, Wyatt's design would have not been too different from Perkin's.[2]
  • It is confirmed that the Omnitrix from the Ben 10 reboot contains DNA for this species.[3] Therefore, Shellhead is one of the countless aliens whose DNA pod was glimpsed in the episode "Innervasion Part 5: High Override".
    • There were no plans for Shellhead to physically appear in the reboot. However, it is possible he may return in the future.[3]
