Shanhara was an alien girl that would become the first Armor. She is respectfully named as the Sacred Armor of Shanhara by her worshipers the Vine.
History[]
A thousand years ago Shanhara was a girl from the planet Gennin that suffered from an affliction called the bone plague. Her father a brilliant scientist created a form of plant-based technology called Armors that aided her others like her in enjoying normal lives.
However the technology began to evolve, forming their own consciousness taking over the host. The transition was violent causing massive destruction as outbreaks of aggression spontaneously appeared on Gennin by the bone plague carriers enhanced by the Armor technology.
As the planetary infrastructure collapsed, Shanhara's father spirited her away from the planet in order to find a cure. Shanhara's father placed her in stasis to prevent her Armor from fully converting her into an Armor. Decades passed and when her father released her from stasis, he revealed to her that the Armors had evolved to a new form of life and that nothing could stop her transformation. Thus he took her to the world of Loam where its sentient life the primitive Vine would not be infected by the Armor due to their unique biology and hive-mind.
Before succumbing to his age, he urged her not to be afraid and to embrace her fate. Shanhara alone on the planet, created a small burial mound for her father, decorated with a flower from her homeworld. As he began to convert into an Armor, she was watched by a Vine tribe, who approached her after she completed her transformation.
Curious a tribemate tried to damage the Armor only for it to latch onto hi,. Due to the Vine being incompatible hosts, he was rejected, but not before it connected to its mind and revealed the name of the Armor as Shanhara.
The Vine took the Armor as an object of worship, revolving their culture, technology and mythology around it. The Vine created a prophecy that a great warrior would wear the Armor and lead the to their destiny. Numerous attempts to bond with the Armor ended in death. Only the Vine leaders knew the truth that the Armor was an alien artifact and not a divine instrument but kept the knowledge a secret in fear of complete anarchy.
Shanhara managed to bond with the human slave Aric of Dacia, shattering the Vine's beliefs at the absurdity but ushering a new age of a hero.
