The Shadow-people are a race native to the alternate dimension known as the Shadow-World.

Biology[]

Shadow-people were humanoid beings with short, pale of skin and hair, and they had grey or black eyes. Like all Shadow-beings, Shadow-people cannot be perceived by inhabitants of the Sun World. Though unlike the rest of the denizens of the Shadow-World, this ability can be controlled thus allowing them to directly interact with humans.

Though while in the Sun-World, their activity is limited to only at night. During the daylight, Shadow-beings go into a state of sleep that is almost like death and cannot be awoken or roused until night has fallen making them strictly nocturnal. Shadow-people have superior strength compared to normal humans. With small female capable of lifting an adult male with relative ease. Some Shadow-people display magical abilities to heal. And could conjure a fog to travel to and from the Sun-World to the Shadow-World.

Culture[]

Shadow-beings having never developed the concept of modesty don’t wear much of clothing. Neither do they seem to use any forms of advanced technology.

They are highly reserved and almost non-communicative to those outsider their race, barely speaking save for single words and simple sentences. While this did not mean they did not talk, the race had a language, but rarely used it and expressed themselves in more subtle emotional and physical means.

Shadow-beings made their homes among the many trees, with long vines with black leaves. The dwellings of Shadow-beings were unique. Walls of rooms were not actually ‘walls’ but thick layer of dark leaves and something that looked like black sheets. The dwellings had no ceiling, relying on the night sky of the Shadow-World.

They eat communally in a designated area in which diners would sit on the ground and wait to be served food. Utensils were non-existent and so Shadow-beings ate only with their hands. Servers would come carrying a yoke from which a net hung down containing bowls and food.

Shadow-people also appear to be very liberal when it comes to same sex relationships. And while humans and Shadow-beings while capable of coupling, such unions are normally frowned upon, though this disapproval is more directed at the Shadow-being in question, mostly out of concern as pursuing a relationship with an inhabitant of the Sun-World is an ordeal unto itself.
