Selamids are a species of sentient ooze native to the planet Silselrik. Nearly their entire population exists in symbiosis with the giant megadolorids.

Anatomy[]
Selamids are roughly human-sized oozes of a bright blue color. They usually assume a vaguely humanoid shape with two pseudopods as "arms," but can change this basic shape if they need to.
Diet[]
Selamids can eat nearly any form of organic matter. However, most of their diet consists of material scraped off of other oozes, possibly including megadolorids.
Reproduction and life cycle[]
Selamids reproduce asexually, and live for around 40 years. At the end of their lifespan, they divide into new selamids.
Senses[]
Selamids are unable to see. Instead, they sense vibrations around them, and are able to clearly discern their surroundings this way out to a range of 60 feet.
Society[]
Most selamids live in cities built on the backs of megadolorids. Because of this, their society revolves around feeding the creature as much as possible, and their societies are very physically active. Their industry runs around the clock, albeit at a low-tech level. Additionally, selamid society places a great emphasis on athletics, also intended to feed the megadolorid.
