Schamils are a species of large, clam-like lifeforms from the planet Glimus which produce a kind of amnesia-inducing haze within their shells. Being large enough for most species to fit inside, the Schamils are popularly commercialized among intelligent civilizations for their soothing properties: any being that wishes to forget their current problems needs only to spend some time inside the shelled walls of the Schamil. Of course, overly long expositions frequently result in an amnesiac effect that may last for hours after one leaves the shell.
