The Scavenger Birds are flying entities native to the desert world of Not Furya.

They appear to have more reptilian than bird like appearances with bat like wings and toothless beaks. They appeared in the beginning of the 2013 film, Riddick where one of the creatures peck on Riddick's hand, only for it to be strangled to death by him.
