The satirons are a species of saurians from the planet Satic.
Biology[]
The satirons resemble terrestrial dinosaurs from Earth, though unlike their Earth counterparts, they survived the extinction level event that wiped out the dinosaurs. There appears to be mostly carnivorous with brown hides and stood only at a height of five meters or so. The satirons were believed to be highly intelligent and although they didn't actually speak Human words the Empire's translation system managed to decipher a rough language. At present, there is still a debate on whether or not the satirons possessed true intelligence.
History[]
The satirons were discovered by the Galactic Empire in the year 2198 IC. Though their discovery was regarded as a novelty as the creatures were considered to be a species of exotic dinosaurs. In 2238 IC, it was confirmed by scientists that the satirons possessed high intelligence and capable of communication.
In 2258 IC, 2nd Lt. Alan Corinth discovered a similar but larger species on the planet Aless, called dragons. Based on the data of the species, it appeared that satirons and dragons were almost similar on a genetic level. Using data on the satiron communication and language, Alan managed to befriend a young dragon, making her apart of his clan.
