Rot Lop Fan's species is a sapient race of silicone-based lifeforms which inhabit a planet in the Obsidian Deeps: a region of space entirely devoid of light, in which not even the stars are visible. As a result, they are completely blind and their language has no concept of light or colors, making the term "Green Lantern" untranslatable.
