The ridgeback is a brood of Garm.
Biology[]
Ridgebacks were similar to the long extinct rhinoceros, blended with the peculiar insect and reptile features common to all Garm. They get their name from the cannon barrel jutting up from their backs. They had thin chitin armor over their bodies, but not in the kind of thickness sported by the gorehounds or ripper drones. Instead they had several horns and scything chitin blades mounted on their heads and shoulders that they could use to terrible effect.
Ridgebacks acted as the Garm heavy artillery. Their ordinance was a hardened sack that was ejected with tremendous force from a barrel-like orifice that jutted up from their spines.
When the sack struck an obstacle or target, it would spew its content in all directions. Said content included spore clouds producing a mist. When breathed or exposed to a human will transform into a hideous creature known as a ragman.
