The Rentok are creations of the Kroern from the planet Gromm. The Kroern actually regard them as nothing more than vessels that transport them through space. Then name Rentok is given to them by the Jedik-ikik civilization, which means ‘Destroyers of the Universe.’ Human explorers refer them as Mega Xenons.
Biology[]
Rentok are bonded to a single Kroern pilot creating a symbiosis that ensure functionality. They go as one, Rentok and pilot, to new worlds that can be harvested, destroying the native civilization to prepare for colonists. Rentok apparently come in various sizes, depending on the level of resistance a native populace possess, Kroern will send bigger Rentok until their invasion is complete and the natives are decimated.
Rentok can reach the size of mountains, at most 500 meters tall and can even grow even bigger when they hibernate, accumulating the earth and foilage to augment their sizes over a period of millennia. They have a root system, they enables them to feed off the energy from the ground. Their skeletal structure are a mix of iron and titanium, causing them to make a "tok, tok, tok" sound when they move. Due to their biomass they can weigh at least 103K tons.
Rento have an incredible tolerance for radiation, due to their simplicity in design the latticework structure of their cells mean that a Rentok's skin has the strength a thousand times stronger than a human's and a single layer of their skin is about 320 pounds. They are also tolerant to heat and cold, able to withstand temperatures at over 300 degrees, making it possess similar traits to a tardigrade. Rentok do not eat but absorb energy where they stand, most is collected during space flight.
