Rafkonians are Human-like species from a planet known as Rafkon, who were almost entirely wiped out by an alien created by them known as the Sporix Beasts.
Biology[]
Rafkonians appear to be identical to Humans in outward appearance, with a pair of retractable flesh-colored antennae protruding from the forehead. Rafkonians possess telepathic abilities, allowing them to read minds, share memories, and see visions of the past. Like Humans, Sirians, Aquitians, Triforians, Andresians, and many other humanoid species, they are capable of becoming Power Rangers.
Culture and society[]
Rafkon's cities include many tall skyscraper structures.
Its military, which includes the Knights of Rafkon, is run by a council. The Knights and other members of the military can be male or female. The Knights did not receive public praise for their status and work.
Rafkonian dogs are kept as pets.
There is no equivalent to Earth's Halloween. One of its holidays is the Triple Suns Festival, an annual celebration where all Rafkonians give each other gifts all at once.
Flargon, available in cake form, is a delicacy. It is prepared for the Triple Suns Festival, and a popular tradition is to eat it without one's hands (though whether this is a general tradition for eating Flargon cake, or specifically for the festival, is unknown). It can be made into an ice cream flavor. While Rafkonians unanimously find it delicious, whether humans like or dislike it varies by the individual. Some food, such as ice cream, does not exist on Rafkon.
As Aiyon implies, lava surfing may be a popular sport.
History[]
65 million years ago, Rafkon came under threat from a significant evil. To combat it alongside the Knights of Rafkon, its military created the Sporix. However, their creators didn't do enough testing before deeming them complete, and they caused incredible destruction as soon as they were released.
When the Sporix left for Earth, the Knights followed them.
Sometime during the 65 million years between the Knights pursuing the Sporix to Earth and Zayto reawakening in the present day, Rafkon was somehow relocated from its original location near its three suns. In its place was left a beacon transmitting an incomplete message about Rafkon's exact status, but which indicates its disappearance was deliberate so that it could slowly heal from the war.
After reawakening in present day, Zayto constantly wondered what became of his home planet. He attempted to transmit messages to Rafkon, and eventually received a signal himself, but it was unintelligible gibberish. After obtaining the Light and Shadow Dino Fury Keys, which can combine to form the Cosmic Dino Fury Key that can open portals to anywhere in the universe, Solon managed to find Rafkon's current coordinates after millennia of moving through space so that Zayto could travel there. When he arrived at its location, however, he found a beacon in its place. Bringing it back to Earth, the Dino Fury Rangers discovered that it was similar to the original signal Zayto received and, when played together, formed an incomplete but comprehensible message about Rafkon's status. The Rangers determined that they would have to locate other similar signals to complete the message and learn Rafkon's ultimate fate.
When Lord Zedd returned after freeing Scrozzle from Grid Battleforce and finding his staff, he brought with him the third and final piece of the message. After combining it with the two pieces the Rangers had, it revealed Rafkon's new location after having been moved.
After Zedd teleported the Sporix Generator away, the planet's core became unstable and the whole planet ultimately exploded.
Known Rafkonians[]
Both humanoid and animal Rafkonians possess a pair of retractable flesh-colored antennae protruding from the forehead. Rafkonians possess telepathic abilities, allowing them to read minds, share memories, and see visions of the past.
Non-humanoid species are known to exist. Rafkonian dogs, which are nearly identical to those of Earth with the exception of their antennae, are known to exist and are similarly kept as pets. Rafkonian spiders have sixteen legs with an eye on each knee.
