The Quintesson Soldiers (also known as Security Officers) are a subspecies of squid/crab-like Quintessons.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
There are two known types of Quintesson Guards, one being "ancient" and the other being more "modern". The "ancient" Soldiers seem to resemble Scientists and Prosecutors due to their squid-like bodies and singular heads. The "modern" Soldiers share a similar techno-organic biology to Quintesson High Commanders, except that their bodies are tripedal and crab-like.
Powers and abilities[]
Quintesson Soldiers share many of the same abilities as other Quintessons.
The "ancient" Quintesson Soldiers are possibly the only kind to have built-in offensive capabilities. Some of them have one set of their traditional tentacle arms replaced with over-sized blasters.
Weaknesses[]
Quintesson Soldiers share many of the same weaknesses as other Quintessons.
The blasters utilized by "ancient" Quintesson Soldiers are ineffective against Trans-Organics.
Culture and society[]
Quintesson Soldiers share a similar culture to other Quintessons and function as foot soldiers and security officers for higher-ranking Quintessons such as High Commanders.
History[]
Primax Cluster[]
During ancient times, Quintesson security officers existed when their race created the Trans-Organics, which predated the creation of the Cybertronians. It is unknown if any of this model of Quintesson survived into "modern times".
Animated Movie Universe[]
Quintesson Soldiers served as infantry for the Quintessons in their war against the Primes. When the Primes' advisor Sentinel allied with the Quintessons in exchange for power over Cybertron, he led his former masters into a distant cave, where they were ambushed by a horde of Quintesson Soldiers. Though the Primes almost overpowered their attackers, the arrival of the traitorous Sentinel turned the tide in favor of the Quintessons and the Primes were slaughtered.
Over the next 50 cycles, squadrons of Quintesson Soldiers accompanied a Quintesson High Commander during their routine visits to collect Sentinel Prime's Energon tributes.

- The Quintesson Security Officers are the only type of Quintesson featured in the Generation 1 cartoon to never receive an official name, as well as the one to exclusively appear during flashback sequences.
- Quintesson Soldiers would later make an appearance in the film Transformers One, fulfilling a somewhat similar role to the Security Officers as battle-capable Quintessons.
