The most commonly held theory about the origins of this species is that they evolved from primitive winged invertebrate lifeforms, indigenous to their homworld Loqiit.
Whilst all are born equal, several distinct strains develop within the larval nurseries; a result of the forced consumption of hormonal soups exuded by the queen. It seems one matriarchal individual is responsible for siring the entirety of the (male) race, laying several thousand eggs every day.
