Python Lizards are a huge, powerful race of sapient reptiles, indigenous to the planets Pythos and now Ashira of the Mu Virginis star system. These great reptiles are the backbone of Galactic Marine amphibious assault units; proud and defiant warriors whose lifelong ambition is to fight theultimate battle. Python Lizards are tall bipedal humanoid reptiles with long-snouted heads, sharp fangs protuding from their mouths, elongated tails, and webbed-hands and feet that end in claws. Pythons are aquatic beings, dwelling in the great swamp-like inlandseas that cover much of the surface of their home planet. They don’t hear sounds as humans do, but rather sense vibrations through theirskin. Their sensory range reaches out to 100m. All Python Lizards swimat 8th level of proficiency and can reach a maximum speed of 50kphfor short durations. The lizards can dive to depths of 200m and arecapable of holding their breath for up to 10 minutes. The drawback isthat Python Lizards are sensitive to dry environments and susceptible tocold. When the temperature drops below zero degrees Celsius, Pythonsusually crawl in some comfortable place and catch some Z’s. Python Lizards can sense heat sources out to 100m.
Culture[]
Python Lizards are generally less intelligent than their galactic counterparts. They are penalized 10points on I.Q. scores, but don’t view this as a handicap. They generally accept their position as the preferred warrior race of the Gen-Humans. Python Lizards are much smarter than Ram Pythons, not that this is say-ing much. They have excellent leadership skills and have a +15 modi-fier to all military leadership scores.
