The Puffy Blubbug is a similar relative to the larger Blubbug discovered within the same area during Captain Olimar's Sparklium expedition onto PNF-404.

The Puffy Blubbug is the northernmost species found on PNF-404, possessing both the thick blubber of the Blubbug, along with a fur coat to protect itself from the cold winters of its polar home. It doesn't have any legs to speak off, only able to move through bouncing with small flutters with its very small wings located on top of its head.
Little is known about its true behavior, Captain Olimar coming across them rarely during his northern expeditions.
