Pseudo-toads are a non-sapient species of Martian amphibians which resemble oversized toads. The Martians regard them as pests due to their habit of clogging water canals.
Biology[]
Pseudo-toads are large batrachian creatures, about 2 ft tall at the shoulders (~ 60 cm). Compared to Earth toads, they have proportionally smaller eyes and tougher skin, partially covered in scales. Their diet is omnivorous, with a preference for vegetable matter. Females lay eggs in water, which are subsequently fertilized by males.
