The Plant Aliens are an extinct species of aggressive plant-based aliens from an unknown planet.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
The Plant Alien looks like a pod with purple roots. When the Plant Alien bloomed, it popped out of the ground and had one red eye with a dark purple outline.
Powers and abilities[]
The Plant Alien's most deadly attribute is its ability to generate perfect doppelgängers of its captured victims usually humans, by copying them right to genetic level and allowing them to wield the Ultimatrix. While they are not capable of replicating powers, these doppelgängers can defend themselves with strong vine appendages of long reach. Meanwhile, after their initial capture, victims are placed into special cocoons.
If forced to combat, the Plant Alien's main method of attack are four gigantic, prehensile vines that can be extended over massive distances. Aside from attacking, Plant Alien can use them for locomotion, propelling itself at alarming speeds or giving it a degree of dexterity. Thanks to its size, Plant Alien has enhanced strength, being able to send a Methanosian flying with one swipe of its vines.
The Plant Alien can open up its flower-like membrane to reveal a pair of colossal toothed jaws. While not used for combat, Plant Alien can use them to spit out a burst of adhesive organic goo that rapidly calcifies, trapping his opponents.
Weaknesses[]
The Plant Alien reacts negatively to peanuts, as they cause its body tissues to burn and shrivel up. Similarly, its clones and cocoons are vulnerable to them and can be destroyed with sufficient amount. However, Plant Alien demonstrated a greater degree of resistance to them, as not even multiple packages of peanuts thrown down its throat were able to kill it.
True to its floral origin, Plant Alien is vulnerable to fire and high temperatures. While standard Methanosian flames deal little to no harm to its main body, Plant Alien can be killed by blowing up its entire body to ashes with kerosene bombs of an Evolved Methanosian.
Trivia[]
- The roars used for the creature are reused from Baragon from the film, Frankenstein Conquers the World.
- It is also inspired by The Thing.
