The Ortolans are a race of stout bipedal sapient creatures indigenous to the ice planet Orto.
Biology
With a long snout and equally long floppy ears, Ortolans have very acute hearing and an excellent sence of smell. Besides having a toothed mouth, they also have orifices on all of their fingers and toes, used to absorb food. Ortolans are well known for their fondness of food. This is because they evolved on an ice planet, where food supplies are scarce.
