Ormerowons[1] are a race of zombie-like beings from the planet Anur Ormerow[2] in the Anur System.[3]

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Ormerowons resemble zombies with pale tan skin and exposed pale pink muscles. Their black eyes have glowing green pupils pointed in opposite directions. Their bodies are surrounded by a glowing green, seemingly-electrical aura.

Powers and abilities[]

Ormerowons are able to absorb life energy and temporarily turn people into zombified minions.[4]

Weaknesses[]

Ormerowons are unable to drain life energy from Ectonurites since they are not alive in the conventional sense.

Ormerowons can experience fear in the presence of Toepick's Species.[1]

Culture and society[]

It is possible that the Ormerowons are among races under the command of the Ectonurites.

History[]

Shortly after Ben and Gwen Tennyson returned to Earth following their mission of fixing the Omnitrix and shutting off its self-destruct sequence, a squadron of Ormerowons arrived on the planet and attacked a mall.[2]

Notes[]

  • The Omnitrix's Ormerowon representative is named Braindrain. However, this transformation is exclusively available in Ben 10,000's Omnitrix.[4]
    • It is implied that the Prime Timeline Omnitrix contains Ormerowon DNA.
  • Although their home planet was named during the original series, this species went unnamed in canon media until the name "Ormerowon" was coined by Derrick J. Wyatt.
    • The name itself is derived from George A. Romero, the director of various films in the Night of the Living Dead franchise.
  • In 2020, Tom Perkins released concept art of Braindrain's hypothetical appearance in the original series at the request of Wyatt.
    • Prior to the artwork's release, Wyatt referred to a hypothetical Ormerowon transformation as "the Walking Dread".
