The Orbitons are an intergalactic tribe of Mixels inhabiting the Mixel Moon, the moon orbiting Planet Mixel.
Biology[]
Appearance[]
Orbitons are generally colored yellowish green, white and gold with additional red blinking lights.
Astroy looks exactly like Scrud, but he's yellowish green instead of blue and he wears the same black hat.
Diet[]
Orbitons eat tater tot-like snacks called Crater Tots with a very spicy hot sauce called Rokit Sauce. This diet is possibly due to the fact that their taste buds are very dulled in space.
Powers and abilities[]
Orbitons have the ability to levitate and are rarely seen on the ground. They can boost their flight using their jetpacks, or shoulder wings in Niksput's case.
The Orbitons can survive the vacuum of space, and while they appear to be wearing space suits, the "equipment" is actually part of their bodies.
Nurp-Naut has the ability to switch faces, one having two eyes and the personality of a baby (named Nurp) and the other having one eye and the personality of a wise old man (named Naut).
Rokit can shoot fireworks from his dual red blasters.
As with the "planetoid" Mixels, Orbitons can form Mixes and Maxes using colorful devices called Cubits.
The Orbiton Max can shoot lasers from its eyes.
Weaknesses[]
Like all other Mixels, Orbitons are vulnerable to forming Murps using Cubits.
Being a Mixel tribe, Orbitons are vulnerable to having their colors taken away by Nixels.
Culture and society[]
Orbitons refer to Mixels from Planet Mixel as "inferior planetoids", or just "planetoids".
The Orbitons' primary place of residence, known as Orbitopia, is surrounded and enclosed by a large glowing yet fragile glass dome. The area itself is composed of a futuristic city-like base with white and yellow-green buildings and glowing rocks on the ground.
When explaining how they were able to locate the Infernites, the Orbitons claimed that they have technology superior to the "planetoid" Mixels.
Notes[]
- Nurp-Naut's preliminary artwork showed his 1 larger eye.
- Rokit was originally going to look angrier more serious, his jetpacks was different, and his blasters were longer. According to Andy Seenan, he was also going to have a more human pink brain.
- Niksput's original artwork showed him with a standard eye without a second highlight. It was also planned that he would have flown with his jetpacks to show accuracy to his Lego set.
- Niksput's pompadour, combined with his space theme, seems to be a reference to the title character of the anime Space Dandy.
- Nurp-Naut's ability to switch faces was similar to Good Cop and Bad Cop's ability from The Lego Movie.
- The Orbitons and the Glowkies are the only Mixels in the Mixels franchise to be treated as "aliens" compared to the other Mixels.
- Astroy shares the same model as Scrud.
