Omnicons are a subspecies of Cybertronians from the planet Omnitron.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Omnicons share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they are larger than Mini-Cons while still fairly small in size.
Powers and abilities[]
Omnicons share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
Omnicons have the ability to handle, process, and convert raw Energon into either useful tools and weapons or Energon stars.
History[]
In the Aurex cluster, Omnitron was discovered by a group of Cybertronians that were fed up with the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Under Rodimus's leadership, they turned Omnitron into a thriving colony. Over time, the inhabitants evolved into the Omnicons.
Alternate history[]
In Aurex 304.0 Epsilon, the Omnicons exist as an independent faction of Cybertronians led by Rodimus, opposing the Autobots and Decepticons alike in their quest to exploit the Mini-Cons.
In an unspecified universe visited by Vector Prime, the notorious reconstituted revenant Carillon commanded a horde of vampiric Omnicons.

Notes[]
- Omnitron went unnamed in the Transformers: Energon cartoon; it would eventually receive its name in Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II.
- The name Omnitron takes its cue from the "-tron" naming system introduced for Cybertron's colony worlds in Transformers: Cybertron.
- According to Hirofumi Ichikawa, the original idea for the Omnicons and Terrorcons by the design departments of both Hasbro and Takara was for them to be evolved Mini-Cons. Transformers: Super Cross, a scrapped early proposal for what would eventually become Transformers: Energon, tied this evolution to Unicron's energy mutating captive Autobots, Decepticons, and Mini-Cons alike into new forms.
- By the time Energon entered early development, Takara's marketing department (i.e. the only people from Takara ever directly talking to We've Inc.) completely ignored this idea. Henceforth, the final cartoon established its own backstory for the Omnicons. When Ichikawa found out about that, he never bothered trying to link his Linkage comic and the Superlink cartoon.
- A remnant of this concept may have persisted into Dreamwave's short-lived Transformers: Energon comic. Issue #19 shows the Omnicons living in the former Mini-Con villages, while Over-Run describes them as the product of an "evolutionary step". However, it is not outright established that they are evolved Mini-Cons.
